Recipe
Ingredients
A big bowl of cut chicken fillets
Cumin
Cardamom
Cinnamon
Cloves
Whole green chilis
Plain yoghurt
Salt
Garam masala
Turmeric
Tomatoes
Coriander
Chili powder
Potatoes (pre-fried)
Peas (cooked)
Lentils (cooked)
Cooked basmati rice coloured with egg yolk
Instructions
Add the following to your big bowl of raw chicken pieces:
- Cumin, cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, whole green chilis, yogurt, salt
garam masala. turmeric, onions (not all), tomatoes, coriander and chili powder
Just put it all in and mix it all in
Make a nice big bowl of marinated raw chicken
Heat up your big pot - melt in some butter with oil
Add in the rest of your fried onions
Heat it up a bit
Put in the chicken & cook for 15 minutes (or until chicken is cooked).
Add in the cooked potatoes, peas and lentils.
Cover it all with basmati rice
Let it steam and heat
Serve in a bowl with sauces and condiments such as;
- Poppadoms, papdums or whatever
- A nice salsa
- Yoghurt laced with mint and coriander
